Pistachio Simple Syrup
Pistachio Simple Syrup
When I set out to make a pistachio cocktail, my first thought was to find a pistachio liqueur. A quick online search yielded a few options, but I was concerned about sweetness—I don’t enjoy sugary cocktails— and I couldn’t imagine ever consuming an entire bottle of pistachio liqueur so I opted to make a simple syrup. I’ve only made one cocktail with this syrup but I’m curious about pairing it with other spirits. Let me know in the comments if you have thoughts or suggestions . Bring to a boil
Stir in 1/2 cup finely chopped pistachios
Simmer on low heat, loosely covered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
